BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU Football continues to prepare for its first home game of the 2013 season as the Hilltoppers took the field on Thursday for their final full practice of the week. WKU faces the Bears on Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. CT on ESPN3.
The home opener has been labeled as the "Live United White Out Game." Fans are encouraged to wear white to the game with the first 4,000 fans through the gate receiving a free White Out t-shirt. WKU Football schedule magnets will also be given to the first 2,500 fans through the gate. This weekend is also Parent and Family Weekend at WKU.

SEASON TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR EXCITING FIVE-GAME SLATE: Season tickets and single-game tickets for the 2013 season are on sale now through WKUSports.com, by visiting the WKU Ticket Office in E.A. Diddle Arena or by calling 1-800-5 BIG RED. WKU opens play at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium on Sept. 21 when the Hilltoppers take on Morgan State. The 2013 home schedule includes games with Navy, Louisiana-Lafayette, Troy and Arkansas State.
WKU TAILGATING INFORMATION: WKU Athletics announced its football gameday experience plans for the 2013 season, offering fans the opportunity to be closer to the heart of campus than ever before and become immersed at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium this fall. In all, WKU will offer more 30 different areas for tailgating and picnicking all located within half of a mile of the stadium, most of which are available all day on gameday with no cost to enter, and approximately 4,500 free parking spaces.
WKU GAME VS. NAVY NOW SET TO KICKOFF AT 1:00 P.M. CT: In accordance with the Sun Belt Conference's television agreements with ESPN, WKU's matchup with Navy, set for Sept. 28, has been moved to a 1 p.m. CT kickoff as the game was added to the ESPN family of networks for national broadcast.
The game will air on ESPNews and will be the second time the Hilltoppers are on the channel after appearing there for the 2013 season opener against Kentucky in Nashville. WKU won that game 35-26. The Navy game will also serve as WKU's Military Appreciation Game. All military personnel and veterans will be able to show their military ID and receive tickets for just $12 while all active duty members of the armed services will also receive one complimentary ticket. For the first 10,000 fans, WKU will provide a handheld American flag and the first 1,000 students into the game will get a free pair of WKU sunglasses, courtesy of HRL.
