BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - On Monday, WKU Head Tennis Coach Jeff True released the 2014 schedule for his Hilltopper and Lady Topper teams.
The Lady Toppers are slated to play 18 matches including a neutral site game against Tennessee in Murray, Ky. on March 19.
"It's a great opportunity for our program to play against a high-caliber team in Tennessee," said True. "I'm excited to see how well our ladies match up."
IPFW comes to town on March 9 for the first of four home matches for the Lady Toppers while Northern Kentucky (March 13), Dayton (April 11), and North Alabama (April 13) round out the home matches.
The Hilltoppers play the same home schedule, and also add Lipscomb on March 28. Other highlights of the Hilltoppers' slate are Belmont (Feb. 14), Bellarmine (Feb. 22), and Murray State (March 2).
Both teams begin their seasons on Feb. 2 against the Southern Indiana Eagles and will play their home matches on the courts at Bowling Green High School.
The Lady Toppers finished last season with a record of 10-8, marking the sixth-straight season the Lady Toppers posted a .500 or better record. True extended his career-win clip to 125 victories, the most in WKU women's tennis history.
The 2014 Sun Belt Conference Tournament begins April 17 and will take place in New Orleans, La.
