Jackson Piles Up 26 Tackles in Two Games
Hilltopper linebacker Andrew Jackson burst onto the scene immediately in 2011, recording 12 tackles in a defensively dominant performance against Kentucky in the season opener.
Jackson’s best stretch of the season, however, came in back-to-back contests against Indiana State and Arkansas State. Against the Sycamores, Jackson found the ball carrier 13 times, including three tackles for loss. A week later against the Red Wolves, Jackson picked up 13 more tackles, a key part in WKU holding Arkansas State to 25 yards rushing on 28 carries.
The 26 tackles during the two-week span were Jackson’s best back-to-back performances of the season. Jackson finished 2011 with 109 tackles, which ranked 39th-best in the nation.
