Nine Hilltoppers Make All-Conference in 2011
The resurgent 2011 WKU football team not only produced seven wins, but also filled nine slots on the Sun Belt’s all-conference team.
All-American running back Bobby Rainey headlined the selections, as he was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year.
Joining Rainey on the first team was offensive lineman Wes Jeffries and middle linebacker Andrew Jackson. Tight end Jack Doyle, offensive lineman Adam Smith, defensive end Quanterus Smith and defensive back Derrius Brooks earned second-team honors. Defensive linemen Jared Clendenin and Bo Adebayo were honorable mentions.
The nine all-conference selections mark the most the Hilltoppers have had as an FBS member.
