Hilltoppers Score 12 Touchdowns in 2007 Contest
September 8, 2007 will probably always be remembered as the most dominant performance in WKU football history.
The Hilltoppers crushed visiting West Virginia Tech during their early September meeting, finding the end zone a record 12 times on their way to an 87-0 victory. WKU piled up 331 yards and six touchdowns on the ground while adding 100 yards and two more touchdowns through the air.
The offense rolled but the Hilltopper defense and special teams dominated as well, as they found the end zone a combined four times. The defense stifled West Virginia Tech to just two first downs and forced seven turnovers.
Multiple single-game records were set during the contest, including points scored and margin of victory.
