Andrew Jackson Notches 17 Tackles for Loss in 2011
WKU middle linebacker Andrew Jackson burst onto the scene in 2011, recording a team-high 17 tackles for loss. That mark ranked second in the Sun Belt Conference and 14th nationally.
Jackson recorded multiple tackles for loss in five different games, with his season-best three tackles for loss coming against Indiana State. He finished his sophomore season with a team-high 109 total tackles.
His breakout performance earned him first team All-Sun Belt honors and landed him on the 2012 Butkus and Nagurski Watch Lists. The Butkus award is given annually to the nation’s top linebacker while the Nagurski award goes to the nation’s top defensive player.
