Bowling Green, Ky. - With the opening week of the college football season just over a month away, WKU will preview its 2012 season with a Football Kickoff Luncheon.
The event will take place at 12:30 p.m. (CDT) on Friday, Aug. 10 in the Topper Club at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Third-year head coach Willie Taggart, as well as select players from the 2012 Hilltopper team will address the crowd as excitement builds for the season opener on Sept. 1 against Austin Peay.
The event is open to the public, but will be limited to the first 300 guests on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fans will need to contact the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation office at 270-745-5321 to RSVP. Tickets to the event are $10.
WKU will report for fall camp on Aug. 5, and take the field for the first practice of the year on Monday, Aug. 6. The three-week training camp will conclude with the annual Family Fun Day event from 4-6 p.m. on Aug. 25. Additionally, season tickets for all six Hilltopper home games are also still on sale, starting as low as $50.
