Hello Topper Fans!
My name is Kim Wagner, and I'm a pitcher from Biloxi, Mississippi. It's my third year here at Western, and I can't imagine being anywhere else. A new year has just begun, and with it has come new members of the Hilltopper family. Although it has only been two weeks since school started, the members of our team have become one unit.
Our team has been spending a lot of time together outside of practices because we know how much of a role team chemistry plays on the field. We have volunteered time at the Special Olympics KY State Softball Tournament, which was a fun and rewarding experience. We have also attended other athletic events on the hill such as the volleyball game, football game, and soccer game. However, I believe everyone's favorite event was the zip lining we did on Sunday. Although many of us were reluctant about it at first, we overcame our fears and had a lot of fun in the process.
Everyone knows we like to have a lot of fun, but we know that we are here to make a statement. We are preparing for the fall season, and the work we have been doing in the weight room and on the field shows that we are willing to do whatever it takes to become a championship team. So look out world, the Lady Toppers are on our way up, and nothing is going to stop us.
