BOWLING GREEN Ky. - Entering her sophomore year, Katrina Vucina looks to improve on her impressive freshman campaign. Vucina, who played all of her singles matches at either the Number 1 or 2 seed, finished the 2010 season with an 8-6 record. The eight wins were second best for the Lady Hilltoppers. Vucina went 6-1 from the number 2 singles spot until being promoted to the number one position. Vucina also teamed up with Fiona Heuff for a team-best eight doubles wins at the number one doubles spot. Vucina looks to increase her win total from a year ago and help lead the Lady Toppers towards a Sun Belt Conference championship in 2011.
Over the next three weeks, WKUSports.com will be showcasing different student-athletes of the men's and women's tennis and golf teams as they begin their 2011 campaigns. These profiles will lead up to the Sun Belt Conference championships where the golf teams will be competeing in Muscle Shoals, AL April 18-20 (womens) and April 24-27 (mens). The tennis team will seek their first Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship on April 20 in Mobile, AL on the campus of South Alabama University.

A: Traveling, reading, cooking

A: Two and a Half Men

A: Coco Chanel. I just love the story of her life. Would like to learn the way how she never gave up.
Q: If you could have dinner with any person no longer living, who would it be and why?
A: My great - grandmother. I loved her very much and I did not have chance to be with her before she died because I was playing tournament abroad.
Q: What are your plans after your playing days are over here at WKU?
A: I still have time to decide that. I am working on it.

A: Not sure if I have had one yet.

A: My mom! She is the one who has helped me the most in my life by giving the best advices.
