In advance of WKU Football's home opener Saturday against Indiana, WKU held a Spirit Day Rally at 12:30 p.m. (CDT) on Friday in front of the Guthrie Tower on South Lawn. WKU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Ross Bjork and student body president Colton Jessie both spoke, along with Hilltopper head coach Willie Taggart and junior running back Bobby Rainey - currently the fourth leading rusher in the nation. There were also performances by the WKU pep band, cheerleaders, Topperettes and Big Red.
The Hilltoppers will welcome in the Hoosiers for a 4 p.m. kickoff from Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium - marking the first time a team from the Big Ten Conference has visited Bowling Green for a football Saturday. Single-game tickets remain on sale for tomorrow's contest. IU tickets are $15 for reserved bleacher seats and $12 for general admission adult seats. GA youth tickets (anyone 12 and younger) are $6. Groups of 10 or more may purchase reserved or GA tickets for $6 each. Season tickets for all five home games this season also remain on sale for $30.
