Bowling Green, Ky. - The 92nd season of Western Kentucky University football - and the first under the direction of new head coach Willie Taggart - will get underway on Monday (Aug. 9) as the Hilltoppers will take the field for a 6 p.m. (CDT) practice.
 Taggart and staff will welcome 103 returning players and newcomers to campus on Sunday as student-athletes report to the dorms prior to the first official team meeting Sunday afternoon. Monday's three-hour workout will be the first of 24 practices over the next three weeks as WKU begins preparations for the 2010 campaign which will kick off Sept. 4 at Nebraska.
 The Cornhuskers were ranked ninth in the preseason USA Today Top 25 Coaches' Poll released on Friday. It will mark the second time the Toppers have faced off against a Football Bowl Subdivision top-10 team. They opened the 2007 season at #3 Florida.
 Following Monday night's practice, selected players and coaches will take part in annual Media Day activities on Tuesday prior to a 2 p.m. practice. WKU will also practice at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday before taking the field for morning workouts on both Friday and Saturday. The first two-a-day practice will be held on Sunday (Aug. 15). The three weeks of camp will wrap up with a morning practice on Aug. 28, followed by Family Fun Day from noon-3 p.m. at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
 Season tickets for the upcoming 2010 WKU football season are on sale now for just $30. Single-game tickets for all five 2010 WKU home football games will go on sale beginning Monday, August 16. Prices are $15 for reserved bleacher seats, and general admission adult seats are $12 while general admission youth tickets (anyone 12 and under) are $6. Groups of 10 or more may purchase reserved or general admission tickets for $6 each.
