Bowling Green, Ky. - The Sun Belt Network has selected the WKU-Middle Tennessee football game on Nov. 20 as its Game of the Week, the league office announced on Monday morning.
The league opted for a "Wildcard" November schedule, selecting its featured television game 12 days prior to kickoff. The Hilltoppers and Blue Raiders will now kick off at 3:15 p.m. (CST) - 15 minutes earlier than the original start time of 3:30 p.m.
This will mark the sixth time this season that WKU has appeared on television, including the second time on the Sun Belt Network. The league opener at Florida International was also the league's Game of the Week.
The Sun Belt Network is the product of an agreement with regional television partners Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST). The agreement between the three parties results in the broadcasting of football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, volleyball and softball contests throughout the upcoming year.
Through additional distribution agreements the reach of the Sun Belt Network has expanded in the states of Texas (Texas Channel and Charter Denton) and Florida (Bright House). These supplementary distributions beyond CSS and CST provide Sun Belt Network broadcasts to over 15 million households during football season throughout the southeast.
The Sun Belt Network football Game of the Week is also available on ESPN3.com and ESPN GamePlan.
