“Today was considered a Pads/No Tackle’ day,” Head Coach David Elson said. “Our guys were excited about being able to have a practice with contact, but we need to improve on fundamentals and have a long way to go. We were very sloppy at times, but I’m sure we will also find some good things after we watch the tape.”
WKU practices next on Friday morning at 8:45 a.m. and follows with its first scrimmage of the spring on Saturday, April 4 at 1:15 p.m.
“The key for us is not to get discouraged too easily,” Elson said. “We need a lot more reps and need to watch a lot more film because our guys are having a lot of things thrown at them. We just need to stick with it.”
Wednesday marked the third of 15 total spring practices, including upcoming full scrimmages on a pair of Saturdays, April 4 and April 18. The annual Red/White game at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 concludes the spring practice schedule.
