Ben Paxton, Sr., St. Albans, W. Va.
During 2008, Ben Paxton appeared in 26 games for the Hilltoppers recording a 1-1 record and a 3.41 ERA. The right-handed pitcher threw 31.2 innings and held opponents to a .295 batting average. He allowed only 36 hits against 122 opposing batters.
1. What is your favorite activity outside baseball?
I like playing rounds of golf.
2. What is your favorite food?
Really, absolutely anything my Mom makes is my favorite thing to eat!
3. What books have you read lately?
Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell.
4. What is your favorite spring break destination?
I've never been on a spring break so don't have a favorite destination.
5. What was your favorite cartoon character when you were a child? Do you have one now?
I've watched the Ninja Turtles for years and consider them my favorites then and now.
6. What is your favorite TV show?
I enjoy watching the Big Break.
7. If you could have dinner with any person in history, who would it be and why?
Jesus Christ as he is the most important person of all times.
8. Have you traveled anywhere outside the U.S.?
Not yet, but I would like to do so some day.
9. What are your plans after your playing days are over here at WKU?
My post graduation plans include attending physical therapy school.
10. What is your proudest moment in sports?
Definitely last year's championship and my actual signing to play baseball at WKU.
11. Who is your all-time favorite sports personality?
Tiger Woods is a favorite along with Ted Williams.
12. What team do you currently root for?
The Dodgers, of course!
13. Who is your favorite singer or music group?
I have several including Third Eye Blind, Counting Crows, and The Kollers.
14. What is the best movie you have ever seen?
I really liked Good Will Hunting so guess it is my favorite.
15. Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
My dad influences me most for all the right reasons.
