Bart Carter, Jr., Franklin, Ind.
In 2008, Bart Carter recorded a 6-5 overall record in 14 starts for the Hilltoppers. The left-handed pitcher posted a 6.98 ERA through 77.1 innings of work. The Franklin, Ind., native surrendered only 34 base-on-balls and struck out 64 opposing batters.
1. What is your favorite activity outside baseball?
I like watching movies and playing video games.
2. What is your favorite food?
Bob Evans Restaurant has a menu item called The Homestead. That's my favorite.
3. What books have you read lately?
I recently read Quiet Strength by Tony Dungy.
4. What is your favorite spring break destination?
Anywhere I get to play baseball is my favorite spring break destination.
5. What was your favorite cartoon character when you were a child? Do you have one now?
Bart Simpson was, is and will always be my favorite cartoon character.
6. What is your favorite TV show?
I enjoy watching Nip and Tuck.
7. If you could have dinner with any person in history, who would it be and why?
I'd like to have dinner with the Wright Brothers and talk about their invention of the airplane.
8. Have you traveled anywhere outside the U.S.?
I haven't traveled outside the U.S. yet, but would like to travel abroad in the future.
9. What are your plans after your playing days are over here at WKU?
I would naturally like to play professional baseball. If that doesn't happen I will investigate a career in recreation.
10. What is your proudest moment in sports?
Of course, winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship!
11. Who is your all-time favorite sports personality?
Bob Vecker is a favorite.
12. What team do you currently root for?
I always root for the New York Yankees.
13. Who is your favorite singer or music group?
I like several singers, but Gary Allan is my favorite.
14. What is the best movie you have ever seen?
Reign Over Me is an all time favorite movie for me.
15. Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
My father who has taught me discipline and respect for myself and others.
