C.J. Wamsley, Sr., Boyd City, Ky.
C.J. Wamsley saw action in 10 of the Hilltoppers' games last season. The backup catcher batted .300 for the season on 10 hits. The senior recorded one double and one RBI. He started one game for WKU behind the plate and for the year, collected three base-on-balls.
1. What is your favorite activity outside baseball?
I like to play Nintendo.
2. What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is steak.
3. What books have you read lately?
I've been reading Beyond Belief: The Josh Hamilton Story
4. What is your favorite spring break destination?
My favorite spring break destination is Coco Beach, Fla.
5. What was your favorite cartoon character when you were a child? Do you have one now?
My favorite cartoon character when I was younger was definitely Doug Funnie.
6. What is your favorite TV show?
My favorite shows are SportsCenter and The Cold Case Files.
7. If you could have dinner with any person in history, who would it be and why?
It would be Jesus, because I would love to hear all his stories.
8. What are your plans after your playing days are over at WKU?
I plan on staying involved in baseball somehow, probably coaching.
9. What is your proudest moment in sports?
My proudest moment would be winning the SBC Championship.
10. Who is your all-time favorite sports personality?
My favorite would be either Peter Gammons or Harry Carey.
11. What team do you currently root for?
I'm a big Cincinnati Reds fan.
12. Who is your favorite singer or music group?
My favorite group is the Dave Matthews Band.
13. What is the best movie you have ever seen?
The best movie I've ever seen would be American Gangster or Bull Durham.
14. Who is the most influential person in your life and why?
It would be my father because he taught me how to work hard and never give up.
