BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The No. 3 seed WKU volleyball team will open up the 2009 Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Thursday against No. 6 seed Denver at 5 p.m. in E.A. Diddle Arena. WKU, who captured last year's title as the No. 6 seed, will begin their quest for their second consecutive championship and will enter the tournament with an overall record of 24-8 and 13-4 in the SBC. WKU defeated Denver in three sets earlier this season and also swept the Pioneers in the first round of the 2008 SBC Tournament. The winner of the SBC Tournament will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
