BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - After picking up conference victories over Denver and North Texas this weekend, the Lady Toppers will take on conference rival Middle Tennessee on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.. Earlier this season, WKU fell to the Blue Raiders in Murfreesboro in five sets. NOTING THE LADY TOPPERS
• The Lady Toppers will conclude their homeswing on Tuesday night with a meeting against conference rival, Middle Tennessee.
After falling to Middle Tennessee on September 25 this season, the Lady Toppers will look to keep their winning streak alive with a
win over the Blue Raiders. Although the Lady Toppers hold a 35-10 all-time advantage over the Blue Raiders, Middle Tennessee
pulled out the five set victory in Murfreesboro earlier this season after the Lady Toppers hit just .061 after committing 40 errors in
the match.
• Middle Tennessee is currently 6-1 in the Sun Belt Conference and 13-7 overall this season. The Blue Raiders only conference loss
this season was to SBC leader, Florida International. The Blue Raiders have won four consecutive matches.
• Following the rematch with Middle Tennessee, the Lady Toppers will hit the road for Louisiana. On Thursday night at 7 p.m.,
WKU will face ULM. Then on Saturday, WKU will take on New Orleans at 5 p.m. before concluding their roadtrip with a meeting
against Louisiana-Lafayette at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Denver Recap
• In front of 1,357 fans, the second largest crowd in WKU volleyball history, the Lady Toppers swept the Pioneers to keep their
winning streak alive. In the match, WKU was led by sophomore Lauren Stuckel who finished the night with a team-high seven kills
and a .778 hitting percentage. She also led the team in assists with 18 while freshman Sarah Rogers posted a team-high 11 digs. In
the blocks category, senior Brittany Bowen led the team with one solo block and two block assists. As a team, the Lady Toppers
recorded 34 kills and a .357 hitting percentage after committing just nine errors in 70 attempts. The Lady Toppers also recorded 30
assists, four aces, 27 digs and ten blocks.
• Denver finished the night with a .071 hitting percentage after tallying 30 kills and 24 errors in 84 attempts. The Pioneers also
posted 27 assists, three aces, 22 digs and eight blocks during the night.
North Texas Recap
• After winning the first set, the Lady Toppers fell to the Mean Green in set two after recording a .111 hitting percentage, their
second worst of the night. In the match, the Lady Toppers were led by senior Abbie Siljendahl who finished the night with ten kills
and just one error for a .474 hitting percentage. Sophomore Lauren Stuckel finished the match with a team-high 39 assists and
freshman Sarah Rogers led the team in digs with 21. Sophomore Lindsay Williams also had a great day at the net finishing the match
with a team-high six blocks. As a team, the Lady Toppers recorded 53 kills and finished with a .242 hitting percentage while also
adding 48 assists, four aces, 54 digs and 20 blocks.
