Bowling Green, Ky. — The Western Kentucky University football program will offer more than just the traditional Red-White Game when it concludes spring drills in April, as it will present a clinic for women prior to kickoff of that contest.
The Women’s Football Clinic 101 will take place on Saturday, April 19, at the Mass Media and Technology Hall, beginning with breakfast and registration from 8-9 a.m. (CDT). The presentation will include instruction on the basic rules and strategies of football, an in-depth look at offense, defense and special teams, and coaching instruction and on-field drills with the Hilltopper staff.
In addition to receiving an official clinic T-shirt, door prizes will be available and a silent auction will take place.
While breakfast and lunch are included in the clinic fee — which is $75 per individual, although $60 for those who sign up prior to April 1 — participants are also invited to take part in a Tailgate Party prior to the start of the Red-White Game, which is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
Casual attire is suggested for the day. Clinic notebooks and other necessary items will be provided for all participants.
The clinic fee can be paid by check, which should be made out to WKU Football, or by credit card over the phone. Checks may be delivered in person or sent via mail to WKU Women’s Football Clinic, L.T. Smith Stadium, 1605 Avenue of Champions, Bowling Green, KY 42101-6412.
