“The men’s soccer team and coaches met three days after learning that our program was going to be discontinued,” head coach David Holmes said. “At that time we decided to play a modified spring exhibition schedule for those interested in transferring to stay sharp and fit, for WKU students and the campus community to say good bye and for the local youth soccer community to say farewell.”
The first date will be Feb. 23 with WKU hosting Bellarmine at 10 a.m. (CST) at the WKU Soccer Complex. The Hilltoppers will then play Evansville at 2 p.m.
On March 1, WKU will host Lambuth and Kentucky. The Lambuth match will take place at 10 a.m. and the Hilltoppers will take on the Wildcats at 3 p.m. and will honor its senior class before the match.
All matches will be free to the public.
