BOWLING GREEN, Ky. Coming off their 2008 NCAA "Sweet 16" run, the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers, under first-year head coach Ken McDonald, will have 27 of their 29 games in 2008-09 on television. Highlighting the coverage are eight games broadcast on outside networks including a pair on the ESPN family of channels.
Nineteen of the 27 games broadcast will be produced by the Hilltopper Satellite Sports Network (HSSN) and air on Fox College Sports as well as locally on WKYU.
The December 2 visit to Diddle Arena by Georgia will be broadcast on ESPNU with a tip time of 8:00 PM. In the stretch run of the season, the February 7 match-up with South Alabama in Bowling Green will be a 1:00 PM showcase on ESPN2.
Fox College Sports will carry the November 30, neutral site game with #3 Louisville at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn. while Fox Sports Rocky Mountain has picked up the January 24 game at Denver. For the December 28 game versus Florida State in Miami, Fla. as part of the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Classic, Fox Sports will provide the coverage.
The January 5 game in Starkville, Miss. against Mississippi State will be carried on CSS while the February 21 home game with FIU and the regular season finale at rival Middle Tennessee on February 28 are both listed as the Sun Belt Conference Games-of-the-Week and will be carried on Sun Belt TV.
