The scheduled games for both Friday and Saturday have now been cancelled due to the weather. Plans are now to play two-game series with the RedHawks on Sunday and Monday (Feb. 18-19) with both games getting underway at 2 p.m. (CST) at Nick Denes Field.
The Hilltoppers are coming off an opening weekend that saw them win two of three games at the Hughes Bros. Challege against teams that played in the 2006 NCAA Tournament. WKU picked up a 4-2 win over host UNC Wilmington in the opener, then closed out the weekend with an 11-5 win over Oklahoma. The only setback of the weekend came against South Carolina, who is ranked second in the nation this week by Collegiate Baseball.
