The Hilltoppers dropped to 3-6-1 on the year (0-1 in MVC action) while the Bluejays improved to 6-3-2 on the season (1-0 in conference action).
After 42 minutes of scoreless action, Jarod Tarver sent a pass to Pietari Holopainen for a goal to put the Bluejays up 1-0. The Toppers had its chances in the first half, taking five shots with three coming on goal.
In the second half, Mo Travis made the score 2-0 with his goal in the 60th minute. Seven minutes later, Ryan Junge and Holopainen sent the ball to Tony Odorisio to put Creighton up 3-0.
The scoring ended on a Jeff Thayer shot in the 79th minute.
WKU was out shot 22-6 as Alex Holmes and Benard Airo took two each. Pat Rickman made seven saves in 90 minutes of action.
Travis and Thayer took four shots each for the Bluejays. Matt Allen made three saves in earning his fifth shutout on the year.
The Hilltoppers stay on the road when they head to Charleston, Ill., to face Eastern Illinois at 4 p.m. (CDT) on Wednesday (Oct. 4).
