Hilltopper Football Makes First Television Appearance Of 2004 Season

Bowling Green, Ky. — The Western Kentucky University football team will make the first of two television appearances over the next three weeks when the oldest rivalry in the Commonwealth, “The Battle of the Bluegrass,” reconvenes.

When the 10th-ranked Hilltoppers (1-1) travel to Roy Kidd Stadium to take on Eastern Kentucky (0-1) Saturday at 6:30 p.m. (CST), the game will shown live on Fox Sports Net South in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi, Fox Sports Net Midwest and Fox College Sports.

Western will also appear as part of the Gateway Football Conference’s television package when the Toppers play host to Youngstown State in the league-opener for both teams on Oct. 2. That contest will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. at L.T. Smith Stadium/Jimmy Feix Field.
