The honor came after Brown placed second in the 200-meter dash at the Rod McCravy Memorial in Lexington Saturday (Jan. 31), breaking his own school record and provisionally qualifying for the NCAA championships in a time of 21.17. The new standard bettered his previous mark by .03 seconds.
Brown has now ran provisionally qualifying times in two events this season, as he met the standard in the 55-meter dash on Jan. 11 at the Ed Temple Classic in a school record time of 6.25 seconds, which converts to a 6.72 in the 60-meter dash. Brown is currently ranked 11th in the country in both the 60 and 200 meters.
WKU travels to Bloomington, Ind. Feb. 6-7, to compete in the Indiana Relays.
