Sept. 4, 2002
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University ticket office announced Wednesday that as the Hilltoppers' football home opener approaches, it has already issued 70 more season packages than in 2001.
The office has sold 1,216 season tickets thus far, the most recorded since 1998, bringing in just under an additional $6,000.
Season tickets will still be sold at L.T. Smith Stadium/Jimmy Feix Field when the Toppers play host to Kentucky State in the first of three consecutive home games, and six on the 2002 schedule. Prices are $90 for VIP seats, $72 for Red Towel seats and $60 for seats in the reserved bleachers - the first two packages require an appropriate donation to the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation. A family season ticket plan is also available, with the cost $96 for four tickets with a minimum of one adult and one child.
Western faculty and staff can still purchase half-price season ticket packages through Friday, while $4 tickets will be available to the group (with identification) for this weekend's home opener as part of Faculty/Staff Day.
