The Lady Toppers scored four of the next five to go ahead 2-0 in the match with a 30-17 victory.
WKU left little in doubt in game three, scoring six of the first eight points. The Lady Indians battle back within three when a Griffin kill made it 8-5, but again Western stopped the bleeding and increased the lead to 14-6 on a kill from Jessie Wagner (Fr., Franklin, Ind.). ASU got the lead down to three at 19-16, but a Wagner kill and two from Crystal Towler (Fr., Sussex, Wis.) pushed the lead back to 22-16 and started an 11-1 Lady Topper run to close out the game and the match.
Cecil led the Lady Toppers with 13 kills and 10 digs for her ninth double-double of the season. Wagner also finished in double figures with 11 kills.
