DENVER (AP) - Patrick Sparks had 19 points and eight assists and Western Kentucky shot a season-high 59 percent in an 86-59 victory over Denver Saturday night.
Sparks was 7-for-10 overall and 3-for-5 on 3-pointers. Filip Videnov and Mike Wells scored 15 each for Western Kentucky (16-3, 6-1 Sun Belt Conference).
B.J. Pratt led Denver (5-12, 1-5) with 13 points. Wahhab Carter had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Western Kentucky shot 53 percent in the first half and started the second 6-for-8, including 3-pointers by Videnov, Sparks and Wells. Denver got 3-pointers from Leslie Richardson and Phillip Heath to get within 57-43, but never got closer.
Denver led 6-5 early in the game but Pandov started an 18-3 run for Western Kentucky.
It was the Hilltoppers' sixth straight victory.
