TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — WKU junior Stuart Easton led the way for the Hilltopper Golf team on Saturday and is tied for 26th through two rounds of Florida State's Seminole Intercollegiate.
Easton shot a 145 (70-75) across the first two rounds at the par-72, 6,965-yard Golden Eagle Country Club, and he was tied for 11th after starting the day with a 2-under 70.
Easton is pursuing his fifth top-25 result of the season.
The Hilltoppers sit in 13th as a team with a 598 total. The final round is slated to begin at 7 a.m. CT Sunday with tee times.
WKU redshirt sophomore Linus Lo and redshirt junior Billy Tom Sargent improved in Round 2 with a pair of 1-over 73s. Lo is tied for 33rd at 147 (74-73), while Sargent is tied for 49th at 151 (78-73).
Junior Blake Smith (75-81) and freshman Chase Landrum (77-82) finished the first day with totals of 156 and 159, respectively.
