BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU's Tom Bevington has been named one of five members of Conference USA's 2019 InTouch Credit Union Men's Golf All-Academic Team, the league announced Thursday.

The St. Albans, England, native is the second Hilltopper to earn all-Academic Team honors since WKU joined Conference USA in 2014, following Trey Aguirre in 2016.

The junior Bevington currently has a 3.95 GPA while majoring in business economics. He has earned the C-USA Commissioner's Medal in each of his three seasons on The Hill for having a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Bevington has appeared in all nine events for WKU this season with a stroke average of 73.7 and four top-20 finishes. He is one of three Hilltoppers to compete in every event in 2018-19.

Bevington shot a career-low 67 at the Autotrader Collegiate Classic in the fall and tied for ninth at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate where he posted a career-low 36-hole score of 140.

He's finished in the top 15 in three of the last five events heading into the 2019 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Men's Golf Championship, which takes place April 22-25 in Texarkana, Ark.
