BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – For the fifth-straight year, the WKU Greater Louisville Alumni Chapter will host their annual WKU Football Louisville Kickoff Party at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Shelbyville Road Plaza (4600 Shelbyville Road) on Wednesday, July 25.
The event is set for a 6 p.m. ET start and will feature head coach Mike Sanford and select players from the greater Louisville area. WKU's roster features 28 players from the Commonwealth, the most among the three Football Bowl Subdivision schools in the state, and nine from the Louisville region.
Additionally, fans can expect plenty of autographs, prizes and giveaways and food specials. Sanford and select Hilltoppers of local interest will also speak at the event.
WKU begins its 2018 campaign, the 100th season in school history, at Big Ten Conference foe Wisconsin in a Friday night showdown from Camp Randall Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. CT on ESPN. The Hilltoppers will also return to Louisville as a team on Sept. 15 when they play at Louisville in the first of a three-game series renewal. The two in-state foes have not met on the gridiron since 1998.
