BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The WKU Lady Topper Golf team enters its first of two straight weeks of competition in Florida, participating this week in North Florida's UNF Collegiate.

The Lady Toppers will be one of 17 teams competing Monday and Tuesday at the par-72, 5,926-yard Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.

Teams will play the first two rounds Monday beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start. Tuesday's final round will follow the same format.

WKU opened its spring schedule last week with a fifth-place finish among 42 teams at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic in South Carolina.

The Lady Toppers earned their third top-five finish of the season in the largest college event in the country, while Georgina Blackman and Mary Joiner each finished in the top 20 individually. Blackman tied for 15th out of 200-plus individuals – her fourth top-20 performance of the season – with a 219, which tied her season low.

WKU will use its same lineup from last week's tournament, with Joiner and Blackman joined by freshman Megan Clarke, sophomore Bailey Tyree and senior Katie Story.
