BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lady Topper Tennis will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, and Murfreesboro, Tenn., in the next three days to face off against the Bearcats of Cincinnati and Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee.
Cincinnati (8-7) has several common opponents with WKU this season including Indiana, Miami (OH), Lipscomb, Eastern Kentucky and UTEP holding a 4-1 record in those matches. The Bearcats also have a 4-1 mark on their home court. Their latest matchup resulted in a 5-2 loss to AAC opponent USF. WKU will face Cincinnati on Friday beginning at 2 p.m. CT.
C-USA rival Middle Tennessee (12-5, 1-1 C-USA) is 8-2 on its home court, sweeping Lipscomb 4-0 while falling to Louisville 4-3. The Blue Raiders conference loss comes from No. 45 Old Dominion. WKU will play at Middle Tennessee Sunday starting at 1 p.m. CT. Live stats for the match can be followed here.
WKU (7-3, 2-0 C-USA) enters the weekend on a three-win streak having defeated UAB, EKU and, most recently, Stetson. The Lady Toppers have notched five away wins this season and freshman Moka Ito leads the squad with a record of 8-1 this spring season.
