Nine former Hilltoppers are currently signed with NFL teams, here's what they did during Week 9.
JOEL IYIEGBUNIWE, Chicago Bears
Iyiegbuniwe saw time on special teams as well as linebacker, where he recorded a career-high three tackles including one tackle for loss against the Buffalo Bills. The Bears dismantled the Bills, 41-9, and will be back in the Windy City to host their NFC North rival Detroit Lions.
GEORGE FANT, Seattle Seahawks
Fant saw time as blocking tight end against the Los Angeles Chargers and helped the offense rush for a combined 154 yards. In a tight matchup, the Seahawks fell to the Chargers, 25-17, and will travel to Los Angeles to take on the NFC-leading Rams. Fant also hosted the Hilltopper basketball team and gave some words of encouragement this weekend as they prepare to take on the 25th ranked Washington Huskies on Tuesday.
TYLER HIGBEE, Los Angeles Rams
Higbee picked up two receptions for 40 yards against the New Orleans Saints, including a season-long grab of 33 yards. The Saints would later defeat the Rams, 45-35, as the Rams will host the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday.
TAYWAN TAYLOR, Tennessee Titans
Taylor brought in both of his targets for 24 yards before leaving the game in the third quarter against the Dallas Cowboys with an apparent foot injury. The Titans would go on to defeat the Cowboys, 28-14, and will be back in Nashville to host Tom Brady and the New England Patriots next week.
