Banquet RSVP Form
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With another remarkable season in the record books, WKU Volleyball is excited to extend an opportunity to the public to join the team at its annual banquet on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. CT, inside the Jack and Jackie Harbaugh Stadium Club within L.T. Smith Stadium.
Â
The program will include a buffet lunch starting at 1:00 p.m., followed by a program to recognize the 2017 players and season. The cost of the banquet is $20 per person, which includes the meal. Supporters may choose to give more to help sponsor one or more of the players' meals. The goal is to get enough sponsors to cover the cost of the players' meals and the awards. Any additional funds will go directly to the Lady Topper volleyball program.
Â
Anyone interested in attending this special event is asked to RSVP by emailing Assistant Coach Kristi Griffin at Kristi.griffin@wku.edu. The deadline to reserve a spot at this year's WKU Volleyball awards banquet is Monday, Jan. 29, at 4 p.m. CT.
Â
Payment for individuals attending the banquet can be mailed to WKU Volleyball at 1605 Avenue of Champions Bowling Green, KY 42101. Checks should be made out to WKU Volleyball. All payments must be received prior to the banquet.
In 2017, head coach Travis Hudson and company are coming off their fourth-straight 30-win season (31-4), putting together a final mark of 123-17 over the last four campaigns. This year's senior class also became the first group in program history to appear in the NCAA Tournament all four years of their careers after WKU won four-consecutive Conference USA Tournaments.
Â
WKU Volleyball matched its program-best streak of seven-consecutive regular season conference titles with the 2017 C-USA crown and is the only NCAA Division I program with an active streak at seven or more. Upon winning the C-USA postseason championship on their home court for the first time as a C-USA member, the Lady Toppers went up to Lexington and swept Notre Dame in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before dropping a heartbreaking five-set decision to No. 6 Kentucky the following night.
